Fireworks!

I have been introducing the seasonal events in Japan, and this is another one!
We have many events in Summer, but this one is a very exciting one and one that I love going to.

The fantastic fireworks of Japan!!
It's very hard to take pictures of the fireworks, and I don't think I did a very good job here...

Almost every weekend in August, fireworks are up to entertain people somewhere in Japan.
I went to one of the largest fireworks in Osaka last weekend.
Japanese fireworks are very colorful and sensitive but dynamic!!
It is one of the greatest techniques that the Japanese have. Please please come and see the fireworks in the summer in Japan one day :)

Beer garden time!!

Yesterday, many of our staff including our CEO went out to enjoy some beer at a beer garden after work.
Beer and a few other drinks were available self-service, and a variety of food to eat with the drinks were provided enough for everyone to be satisfied after a long hard day of work.

I now regret not taking a picture during the fun time... but here is a picture of our staff at the bottom of the building where we had our feast.

Many beer gardens open during the summer in Japan, and many many people enjoy the cold trickling down of beer down their throats in the hot humid weather.
It is one of the seasonal events that you can recognize when you come to Japan at this time of the year!

Gion Festival

July in Kyoto, Japan is the festival season.
For the whole month, the Gion Festival is on in the city of Kyoto.

The festival reaches its climax on July 17th, when a lot of festival floats pass through the streets of Kyoto city.

I went the other day to Kyoto, and there were many many people!!
When I went there, you could go up on the festival floats.
Here is a picture of one.

Kyoto is a city with a lot of traditional buildings and cultures.
Make sure you visit here when you come to Japan!! You will be able to enjoy the gist of Japan...
